Real Housewives of New Jersey Drama

I never intended to get hooked on the Real Housewives drama of any City, but I'll admit that I've been sucked in. From Orange County, Atlanta, New York, and New Jersey, to the upcoming D.C., the shows are filled with straight up drama. I like to avoid the drama in my own life, but for some reason it's entertaining when it comes to reality TV.
Now, why I chose to discuss the RH of New Jersey is because I am sick of the ongoing "Danielle" plot line. I am not the biggest fan of Danielle, and a lot of the complaints from the other Real Housewives are true, but a part of me does feel bad for her. The show revolves around everyone bashing her, and ganging up on her.
In this week's episode, I was disappointed that Danielle's one girlfriend, Kim G. betrayed her. Danielle trusted her, and she not only spilled her business, but she also brutally back stabbed her.
Again, Danielle has never been a favorite of mine. I still think it is pathetic that she calls her side-kick, Danny to help her handle every situation...but, let's face it...the girl is a mess. She has issue upon issue, and who doesn't?
But, what I am getting at is that I am so tired of that being the plot line of the entire show. At least in the other cities of the Real Housewives series, there are lots of things going on. That is not the case for RH of New Jersey.
I know that other characters, like Dena chose to leave the show...but for some reason, I don't think Danielle has that flexibility. In my opinion Danielle relies on the show for financial stability and in hopes of making her daughter's showbiz career dreams come true.
To my fellow, RH fans...any thoughts? Can you blame the fellow housewives for ganging up on her (especially with her past) or do you think she has been turned into a victim?

Well, that was quick. Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston have called off their engagement. Yay?

Apparently, they're fairy-tale reunion quickly started to fall apart soon after then announced their re-engagement.

There were tales of infidelity (she claims he impregnated another young woman, that woman claims he's not the father.)

What do you think? Is this divine intervention, or should they have stuck it out? You decide.

Celebrity bloggers and Lindsay Lohan haters are rejoicing at this very moment. Our child star turned mid-20 train wreck has arrived in court and will surrender to her 90 day jail sentence.

But, let's get real. When has a starlet ever served her full sentence in a Los Angeles jail? Because of overcrowding, my guess is that she'll serve 3 hours. MAX.

So, let's make this interesting! Tell me how long you think she'll be in the slammer and whether or not you think that's fair.

Reunited... At last?

Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston have announced that they have reconciled and are re-engaged.

Of course, as any media-savvy child would do, Bristol tells US Weekly before her mother. Not smart, young lady.

The Palin camp finally came out and talked about whether or not they are supporting the lovers reunion.

"Bristol at 19 is now a young adult. We obviously want what's best for our children," they said in a statement read on the Today show Wednesday morning. "Bristol believes in redemption and forgiveness to a degree most of us struggle to put in practice in our daily lives."

Johnston's mother also pipped in with her opinion.

She says she will be devastated of she's not invited to the wedding, and hopes the two will elope before they even consider having a wedding she can't come to.

If you can remember that far back, Mrs. Palin and Mrs. Johnston are NOT friends. My guess is that Sarah will have the trump-card, especially if they are paying for the round 2 nuptials.

Lindsay Lohan finally got what she had coming. She was sentenced tonight to 90 days in jail stemming from a 2007 DUI/ Drug charge.

To me, this was a perfect example of a celebrity believing she was above the law. She repeatedly missed court dates, was found with a .03 blood alcohol level while wearing an ankle monitor, and did not take alcohol classes seriously.

When you are a celebrity like Lohan, you have to remember that you are setting an example for all youngsters who look up to you. What kind of example has she been setting? A BAD ONE.

Hopefully, jail time and rehab will fix this snafu in what could be a happy life.

Great, just what Texas needs. Jesse James (Sandra Bullocks cheating/soon-to-be ex-husband,) has put his California home in the market and is making his way to Austin.

No doubt, to be closer to Sandra and their ADORABLE baby, Louis.

I can't blame him... Not only is Texas AMAZING, but a beautiful wife you're trying to win back and the cutest stinking baby you want to spend time with are preeeetty good reasons why you would want to move to the Lone Star State.

Ugh, thank goodness.

Jake Pavelka (a hunky pilot and the most recent Bachelor) has called it quits with Vienna. YUCK.

I can't stand her and am so happy she's out of the picture. The news was just announced within 24 hours and already, rumors are swirling about Vienna's infidelity. Other reports say that Vienna didn't give much breathing room in the relationship and was almost "stalkerish." I love it.

Now, all of the Bachelor/ Bachelorette fans are wondering... Will Jake try and get sweet Ali back?? Would be totally predictable and viewer friendly, as most reality TV relationships would-be.

Why in the world do some celebrities pretend they had nothing to do with supposed sex tapes?

In recent weeks, Real Housewives (Danielle Staub) and former Playboy Bunny, Kendra Baskett, are the most recent celebs who are debuting in their own raunchy home videos.

To each their own. If it's in your VHS collection, keep it there. In my opinion, this is not a good way to soar to the top of stardom.

UGHHHH. I apologize in advance for this post, but I just have to know. Do you think the Heidi and Spencer split is a publicity stunt or the real thing?

The Hills stars are reportedly taking a hiatus from their INSANE marriage. The two may have cooked up the story line to get back in Hill's producers good graces. I originally thought the split was for TV viewing purposes only, but today, Heidi was photographed filing for legal separation.

Hmm, it looks like she's taking this stunt a little too far, but all of their co-stars believe it is all for the show.

What do you think? Is this violating the sanctity of marriage for a few thousand bucks or are they really headed for splitsville?

Poor little Gary Coleman... After being hospitalized after a fall, Gary Coleman has died after being taken off of life support in Provo, Utah.

Coleman, a child star with a trouble past, has made headlines in recent years for being on a various VH1 shows, having a bizarre marriage, and health problems. Hopefully, the "Hollywood Deaths Come in Three's" trend won't happen in this case... I think Hollywood has lost enough celebrities recently!

I am so incredibly sick of finding only cheating/scandal news in all of my favorite tabloid publications!

I know, I know, it's not worthy of any one's time, but it's truly one of my favorite ways to wind down... Reading tabloids and checking people.com and eonline.com.

Last night, both popped up a story about David Boreanaz's (star of hit series "Bones") infidelity. He's come out and said he has cheated on his wife and that his almost nine-year marriage is tainted by his infidelities. He is two children, one is only 8 months old. Hmm...

It seems like 2010 has been nothing but cheating, cheating, and more cheating.

At least this one has come out and come clean about his infidelities. But which one do you think is worse? Is it more insulting to come clean and tell your adoring fans you've been cheating? Or is it worse to just have it creep through the woodwork?

Legendary actress, Sandra Bullock, has made a monumental announcement. Drum roll please...

SHE HAS A BABY! And she's getting divorced. Yeesh.

She and soon to be ex-husband, Jesse James, adopted 3 1/2 month old "Louis" in January and planned on announcing their new addition after awards season.

However, Jesse's dirty-little-secret (a series of affairs) got in the way of their ecstatic announcement.

Bullock has been out of the loop since the infidelity came to the surface and has been apparently hiding out with her sweet baby, Louis.

SO! Kudos to you, Sandra! For filing for divorce from your husband with a wandering-eye and for bringing home a much better, younger man!

Tsk, Tsk, Tsk. Just what Hollywood needed, another cheating spouse!

I'm sure you've all heard, Jesse James (West Coast Choppers mogul) and Sandra Bullock are on the outs after a handful of mistresses have come forward saying they've been having relations with Mr. James.

This is just getting ridiculous. Of course, Bullock has left their home and is now back in her Hollywood home she had before they married years ago.

One thing I found most interesting in this situation, is that the media is OBVIOUSLY observing Bullocks request for privacy. Has anyone seen a picture of Bullock since the news broke of her crumbling marriage? No. Jesse has been followed non-stop since the allegations surfaced.

Jesse has been unfaithful in relationships before Bullock.

So what do you think? Is this just a habit he can't break, or is this another example of the Oscar winner curse?

Is The "FLU" Really To Blame?

Recently, two stars have died from "flu-like" symptoms and possibly overdosing on medication.

Brittany Murphy died months ago after she collapsed in the shower. Her family said she had been battling the flu and was headed to the doctor sometime soon before she died from her illness.

Today, Corey Haim(Lost Boys star from the 1980's) died from what his family is also calling a flu-like illness.

Murphy's weight and possible drug-addicted past were brought into question soon after her death, however those were cleared up in her autopsy.

Haim's mother admitted today that her son suffered from prescription drug addiction and had turned down the opportunity to appear on VH1's "Celebrity Rehab" within the last 10 days.

What do you think? Are these deaths related to an unhealthy lifestyle, or are we all susceptible to death from the flu?

Charlie Sheen and his wife, Brooke Mueller, had an infamous spat in December. Mueller claimed Sheen had assaulted her with a knife and she was worried for her safety.

Since then, the media spotlight has been shining brightly on the Sheen family, including their young twins.

Mueller and Sheen both have suffered from additions in the past (drugs and alcohol) and now BOTH have been admitted. Mueller for "anxiety" and Sheen for "preventative measures."

HOW SAD. Now the twins are staying with their grandparents while their parents work out what seems to be their many many issues.

What a shocker. Heidi Montag, who recently underwent 10 plastic surgery procedures, went home for the first time since and said her mom looked at her like a "circus freak." MAYBE it's because she wore the head gear the whole time she was home?

Duggar Baby Drama...

How many is too many? That's the title on this weeks People Magazine cover story. It's about Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar- a devoutly religious Arkansas couple who have let God decide how many children they will have, by not using any form of birth control since their first sons birth in the mid-1980's. So far, God has decided to give them 19.

Nineteen, hmm sounds like a little much. So far, the Duggars have been blessed with 18 easy pregnancies, very few having any complications at all. Until the December birth of baby 19, Josie Brooklyn.

Diagnosed with Preeclampsia, Michelle delivered baby Josie at only 25 weeks, she was due March 18th. She weighed only 1 pound 6 ounces and her head was the size of a billiard ball. Now, 7 weeks later, she weighs over 2 pounds, is taking breastmilk and seems to be on the up and up.

The struggles baby Josie has had to face bring a question to many readers minds, How many is too many?

This dress, warn by Ashanti cost $300,000!!! HUH?! Yep, that's the prices of a super nice home, a Mercedes Maybach or a few college educations... But who in Hollywood is counting?!

Also, here's a little bit of interesting info. Because the acceptance speeches were cut short (Thank you Grammy's!), Twitter.com allowed award recipients MORE than the 140 characters usually allotted for tweets... just to tell their fans they care and are thankful for the votes.

As you may have heard, I am currently embedded in an Air Force crew headed to Haiti in the morning.

While that may sound rough and tough, I'm still the same old "Gossip Girl," so you can imagine my excitement when we checked into our hotel tonight in time to catch some of the Golden Globes. My best friend Mary suggested this as a perfect blog, especially considering my trip to Haiti tomorrow and my love for entertainment news! Thanks Mary!

The celebrities gave BIG tonight to Haiti relief after a devastating earthquake. Here's a quick rundown:

1. Gisele Bundchen: $1 million
2. Madonna: $250,000 (and asked her friends to do the same!)
3. George Clooney: Hosting a telethon on Jan. 22- sure to bring in millions!
4. Sandra Bullock: $1 million to Doctors Without Borders
5. Brad And Angelina: $1 million to Doctors Without Borders

And the list goes on and on...

Many attendees wore ribbons at the Golden Globes in remembrance of the Haitian people in this time of great need.

I can't believe I am even writing this. Heidi Montag is addicted to plastic surgery and apparently, it's people magazine-worthy.

She's spent a fortune nipping and tucking her figure and face, now she wants to share her story with fans.

In one day, she had 10 PROCEDURES done- and I'm sure it wasn't a cheap day at the doctors office. She says she's been contemplating which surgeries to have for three years and that it has consumed her every thought...

I think she looked pretty darn good in the early days of "The Hills" (an MTV reality show about rich Cali kids.) What do you think? Did she need the nip and tuck or did she look OK before?

YIKES. Today, People Magazine released a picture of this weeks cover and it appears that Kate Gosselin is starting of her new year with a new hairdo. It apparently took a stylist 20 hours to attach extensions to all of those SHORT hairs that covered the back of her head... Her previous hair style made her all the more famous and gave hundreds of Halloween Costume- Hungry individuals the MOST PERFECT wig!

A Media Storm Surrounding Tiger

OK, we get it. He had an affair. Now can we please move on? I feel so sorry for Tiger and his wife. Here are some updates since my last post...

1. Tiger and Elin have holed up in their Florida home and have been meeting several times at day with a marriage counselor.

2. MULTIPLE women, from all walks of life, have come forward with allegations of having an affair, child, sex tape, etc. with Tiger. Yeesh.

3. Tigers mother-in-law was rushed from Tiger and Elin's home to the hospital. She was later released.

4. Elin has reportedly purchased a $2 million home in her native Sweden... A possible escape pad?

5. Tiger's signature drink for Gatorade has been dropped (Gatorade says it has NOTHING to do with the media storm surrounding his personal life.) However, a California Congressman says he has decided to NOT award Tiger with a Gold Congressional Medal of Honor. Whoops.

Any who, lets get down to the meat and potatoes of this incident... He screwed up. Possibly ruined his marriage, and has deceived the public with his squeaky image. Do you think this is a human mistake that will be forgiven and forgotten, or something you will never forget?

Was It Because Of An Affair?

Tiger Woods' weekend car accident has sparked rumors of an affair.

Early Friday morning, Woods crashed his car leaving his driveway. He was driving around 30 mph and first hit a fire hydrant, then a tree. Sources say his wife then rescued him from the car by breaking a window with a golf club (how ironic!)

However, some are now saying that the reason he was leaving in the first place around 3 am is because he and his supermodel wife were bickering about a rumored affair Woods was having with another woman.

So what do you think? Are you smelling a cover-up or do you think this really was a simple car accident where the wife was not only a supermodel, but a superhero?

Adam Lambert didn't win American Idol, but he sure has gained a lot of media attention!

At this years American Music Awards, Adam Lambert gave a super controversial performance, where he french-kissed a band member and simulated oral sex on stage.

This morning, ABC cancelled his appearance because of 1,500 calls complaining about his performance.

Lambert defended his performance, saying it was in the spirit of Rock and Roll and that he is not a "babysitter," he's a "performer."

Side note: Lambert recently came out as a gay man after speculation during his stint on AI. Many say that this was a way for him to express his newly proclaimed sexual preference.

Balloon Boy Mom Being Deported?

Poor Balloon Boy... Not only will be forever be known by that nickname and throwing up on national television, but his mom could possibly get booted from the US.

Today, the lawyer of 6-year-old Falcon's parents (Richard and Mayumi Heene,) announced that they would be pleading guilty to a number of charges.

In October, the couple called 911 claiming Falcon had been lifted in a Balloon they built for their crazy storm-chasing escapades. Low and behold, the little boy was found safe and sound in their home, where he had been the whole time.

At first, they denied claims they were doing it to land a reality TV show, but little Falcon let the cat out of the bag on national television. OOPS.

But this is the interesting part. Mom, Mayumi, is a Japanese citizen. A felony charge could get her deported, even though her sons and husband are American citizens.

Do you think it's right that she could possibly get deported for such an incident? Let me know!

Taylor Swift Wrecks Shop.

AMAZING. 19-year-old country music sensation Taylor Swift, blew away all of the singing veterans, like Keith Urban and Brad Paisley.

She not only brought home the Entertainer of the Year award, but the Best Female Vocalist and Album of the Year.

I'm a big country music fan and love old favorites by George Strait and Garth Brooks.

How do yall feel about her taking home all of these big titles? Do you think she deserved it, or should a more experience songbird have taken home Entertainer of the Year? You decide.

A Sad Day In Entertainment News...

Well, today's been quite a bummer when it comes to entertainment headlines. But, let's talk about three that have really stuck out to me.

1. Corey Feldman's Wife Files For Divorce: What a sad story! But, I have to say, I am AMAZED it lasted this long! The 1980's teen-heartthrob married Susie Sprague got married in 2002 after 9 months of dating on the VH1 show, "The Surreal Life." I guess divorce is all too common these days, and I can't say I'm surprised that a marriage that was officiated by MC Hammer didn't last...

2. Andre Agassi Admits Drug Use: Tennis superstar Agassi admits in his new tell-all book that he has dabbled in Crystal Meth. WHAT?! It's unreal to imagine such an incredible athlete using such a vicious drug... The book, Open, shares all sorts of stories from his past about everything from his hair-loss to his tumultuous marriage to Brooke Shields.

And for the most gut-wrenching story of the day... drum roll please!

3. Patrick Swayze's Widow Talks About Life Without Him: What a tear-jerker. I have to say, I have so much respect for her going on Oprah and talking about her life now without her husband of 34 years. She says she takes comfort in knowing, "I will see him again."

I know, this was a little bit of a downer, especially for a Gossip Girl post! SO HERE'S SOME GOOD NEWS!

The Jonas Brothers are not breaking up. I repeat, the Jonas Brothers are NOT breaking up! The rumor mill started swirling and tweens screams could be heard around the world. But, no worries everyone! The trio cleared the air and assured friends they're not leaving airwaves any time soon. Whew, at least some things are still right in the world... :)

Alright, let me start off by apologizing for yet another "Jon and Kate Plus 8" rant. I can't help it, that is all that seems to be going on in the entertainment world, and trust me- I'm not too happy about it.

I am SICK TO DEATH of hearing Jon Gosselin cry like a baby on National TV. If you want to say something to your soon-to-be-ex-wife, tell it to her voicemail or her lawyer. Not to People Magazine or E! News. If you want to unload your bank accounts, don't sell the bank statements to TMZ and then accuse Kate of hiding your 2 million dollar paycheck.

Whew, now that's off my chest, we can get to the real nuts and blots of this blog post.

Jon and Kate Gosselin are now arguing over whether or not their 8 little tots are enjoying the life in the spotlight. Jon says "no." Kate says "yes."

OR! Is Jon just saying that because he got the boot from TLC when the network decided to focus the show more on his arch-nemesis, Kate?

Blow-Up At The VMA's

Kanye West- didn't your mother ever tell you, if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all? APPARENTLY NOT.

Last night, at the VMA's, Taylor Swift beat out Beyonce for much-coveted "Moon Man" award for her music video. A well deserved award in my opinion. Kayne, however, disagreed. "Mr. Cranky Pants," as he will now be referred to in this post, jumped onstage in the middle of Taylor's acceptance speech, grabbed the mic, and went off on a tangent about how Beyonce deserved the award more than Sweet Taylor.

One tid-bit we didn't see was after he finished embarressing the poor 17-year-old, he paused. Waited for reaction. When he didn't get it? Mr. Cranky Pants flipped off the crowd and ran out like a little girl. He was never seen on camera again.

Whew. Now that I'm done humiliating Mr. Cranky Pants, lets move on to the real winner of the night. Beyonce won the highest honor, and rather than thanking the usual suspects, like the videos director and her family, she invited Taylor onstage to give her acceptance speech instead. AMAZING.

Rarely, do you see celebrities soft-sides, like Beyonce shared with millions of viewers last night. KUDOS to you, Beyonce... CONGRATS Taylor Swift... and BOO Mr. Cranky Pants!

What a Shame...

You rarely get second chances in life. Back in September of 2008, almost one year ago, DJ AM, a famous disc jockey, and Travis Barker, drummer for Blink 182, survived a plane crash that killed the men's two friends, the pilot, and the co-pilot on board.

Both recovered from severe burns and thanked God for a second chance at life. On Friday, DJ AM died of a drug overdose in his New York apartment.

What a waste of a second chance. I cannot imagine what his family and friends are going through. After overcoming his drug use in the past, it ultimately caused his untimely death.

For the second time in one year, they have had to deal with coming so close to death, unfortunately this time, he went all the way.

You're Next American Idol Is.... NOT Paula Abdul!

Well American Idol fans, it is with a heavy heart that I tell you that Paula Abdul has announced she is NOT safe, and is returning home after her tenure on American Idol.

Hmm, bummer? I just don't know about her to begin with. The only reason why she brought any entertainment to the show was because of her irradic behavior and off-the-wall comments.

Hailey Glassman, Jon Gosselin's "Other Woman," has been speaking out about her new beloved.

Here are some of the snippets of what she had to say...

1. "He was so strong, I admired him."
2. "We're always laughing and joking. We watch movies, play pool and ping pong. We laugh a lot because I beat him at everything."
3. "He's a great cook. He cooks roasted veggies with special seasoning and sauces, and he grills pineapple with a butter concoction."
4. "The most important thing is if someone fits in with my family ... This is perfect. It just fits."

AND THEN THE FINAL ZINGER!

5. "I'm a huge believer in not controlling someone," says Glassman. "I'll give my opinion but tell him to do what he wants to do. He said, 'I'm just not used to having an option.' I told him life is about options."

SHE IS AWFUL! Such a dig at Kate, who has been called contolling, mean, etc.

Poor Jon Gosselin. Maybe it's bloggers bashing him (like myself, go Team Kate!) thats driving him straight to the pantry. I understand that stress can make you pack on the pounds, but good grief!

These pics were taken at his Pennsylvania home where he is staying with his kids. Ex-wife-to-be, Kate, is now on her time off (rather than having the kids go between two homes, the couple has decided to keep the kids put and share the home.)

Maybe it was the French Food and Champagne cruises with his new GF... What do you think of his new physique?! Are you surprised?

He's Making HOW much?!

We've seen his face plastered on TV sets since American Idol was born. He hosts the FOX hit, he hosts E! News, he hosts a radio show, and you can't open a tabloid without seeing his white, gleaming grin!

That's right folks, Ryan Seacrest is everywhere. And FOX is shelling out the big bucks to keep him there.

CNN reports that Seacrest has signed a $45 million deal for another 3 years as Idol host. This new paycheck triples his previous paycheck of $5 million a season.

I've done a little research on my own, to see what $45 million bucks can buy. Here is what I found...

1. A painting by Picasso
2. A corporate jet
3. Cher's mansion in Malibu

Now, don't get me wrong, I've been thoroughly entertained a time or two by Seacrest's antics on American Idol, I just find it hard to believe that he's making that much money for three seasons!

Apparently, the entertainment industry IS recession proof!

What could you do with $45 million dollars?!

Jon Gosselin- you should be ashamed of yourself!!

This weekend, photos were snapped of Jon (Minus Kate AND 8) in France with his new main squeeze. She is 10 years younger than him and, get this... The daughter of Kate's plastic surgeon (the family saw the Gosselin's story years ago, was moved by the changes Kate's body underwent carrying the sextuplets, and gave her a tummy tuck- free of charge.)

So, if a new girlfriend only 3 weeks after announcing the split isn't heartwrenching enough, she is also the daughter of some very generous friends.

Now that the shock has worn off- why were they in France, you may ask? The two were meeting with the Ed Hardy designer to work on a KIDS CLOTHING LINE Jon will be spearheading. And the icing on the cake?! His 8 tots will be the models for the clothing. RUDE.

So way to go Jon! Thank you for making my Team Kate decision that much easier.

Romo and Simpson Call It Quits

I have always been a fan of this Texas-twosome. They are the perfect little couple in my opinion- beautiful, successful, and all smiles.

But today, it was announced that the couple had called it quits. And on her birthday weekend, no less!

People Magazine says Romo is the one who pulled the plug the night before she turned 29- OUCH. What better way for a single celeb to creep one year closer to the big 3-0.

I have to say, her coping method is SPOT ON in my opinion.

On her Twitter page Sunday night, she said she was falling asleep with her mom and her dogs. What a support system! That's what every heartbreak needs, some motherly love, affection from man's best friend, and of course, a heaping bowl of ice cream.

Michael Jackson Memorial- On Taxpayers Dime.

There's no doubt that the King of Pop deserved a stand-out memorial service, and the city of Los Angeles did just that. Jackson's family and friends came together at the Staples Center, along with almost 20,000 fans and 9,000 of their own guests, to pay their respects to the entertainment king known around the world.

While it was a moving service that proved he was a loving father to his children, and an icon to musicians everywhere, it also cost a pretty penny.

Anywhere between 1.5 and 4 MILLION dollars to be exact. Those millions go towards security to keep the thousands of fans at bay.

So who's footing the bill? Why, the people of Los Angeles of course!

A city, already in-the-red financially, will be paying for this memorial.

Now, the mayor of Los Angeles has set up a web site with a link to a PayPal account to raise funds to pay off the memorial service fees. If you were thinking twice about opening your wallet to the noble cause, don't worry! Any donation IS tax deductable.

The web site asks generous MJ-mourners to open their hearts to the "City of Angels" and help them pay off security that allowed the King of Pop to be laid to rest safely and respectfully.

Do you think that is fair? Can you imagine forking over funds to facilitate the service?

They Always Come In Three's...

It's a so-called "Hollywood Curse." That once a celebrity dies, two will soon follow.

This week, that "curse" proved to be true.

First, there was Ed McMahon, Johnny Carson's famous sidekick.

Then, Farrah Fawcett came to the end of her three-year long battle anal cancer.

And finally, Michael Jackson.

Who would have thought that three front-running Hollywood players would lose their lives in the same week?

It makes me believe in the curse... What about you? Do you think this is a coincident or fate?

Jon and Kate Call it Quits

Ok. I've been thinking all day about how to address this issue.

Kate (of the TLC reality hit TV show "Jon and Kate Plus 8") filed for divorce yesterday. I'm sure many of you are wondering why this has been covered so heavily, as am I.

But I have to say, I am so sad for them. All this time, I've been on "Team Kate." Now, before you tell me all of the terrible things she's done to bring on a divorce, hear me out!

I cannot imagine raising 8 kids UNDER the age of 10! I come from a huge family and kids ranging from ages 23 to 3. I KNOW how crazy a household can be. She needs to yell, scream for help, and demand perfection. That's the only way a household of that magnitude can function.

For now, let's focus on the kids. They are going to be going through a lot in the next few monthes. Luckily, TLC recognized that and shut down production until August, to give the family some breathing room.

SO! Tell me what you think! Did Kate ask for this divorce? Has it been covered too much?

I don't know about yall, but I have never seen a TV family with more drama! I LOVE Jon and Kate Plus 8 (which, in this post, will be called JK8)! I have always admired Kate's iron-fist ruling mentality. I think that's the only way she can survive! Unfortunately, while her kids are well cared for, Jon sometimes gets the short end of the stick.

It breaks my heart to hear about their troubles, but come on. What did they expect?! When you put your life in the spotlight like that, you are bound to expose a few skeletons in the closet. Whether or not he had an affair, they still have problems. While I would love to feel sorry for them, it's hard when they are TELEVISING(!)their marraige counseling. There goes my sympathy, right out the window!

Baby #4... Where's the Baby Weight?!

Hold the phone. Since when is Heidi Klum allowed to have more children without gaining an ounce?! With every child, she has bounced back so quickly it is UNNERVING. I gain more weight when I'm stressed than than she does when she's pregnant.

I don't know about you, but I think she's already perfect, why rub it in our faces!?

And YES. She is pregnant in this picture.

Anywho, I'm so happy she is procreating, she always has adorable children!

AN ADDICTION.

I have an addiction. I compulsively check my PO Box for my weekly and monthly magazine subscriptions and am CONSTANTLY disappointed!

Right now, I subscribe to Vanity Fair, US Weekly, InStyle, and People. So sad, I know. BUT! It is much better than impulse buying at the grocery store check-out line... those suckers can get expensive!

Vanity Fair: Such a great magazine! Even my boyfriend, Ryan, can find an article he likes! A great mix of couture fashion, current events, and historic tales- like the brilliant robbery of the Mona Lisa.

US Weekly- One of my favorites. Hands-down. Filled with all sorts of random information that you just can't tear your eyes away from.

InStyle- I LOVE their "recessionista" type stories. Cheap make-up tricks, stylish steals, and always a great cover story.

People- As you've read in previous blogs, this is my go-to mag. They have started new articles about ways to save in the recession (gardening tips) and highlight an American who is making a difference. And of course, fill you with all of the celebrity news you can imagine.

Because I work nightside, one of my favorite parts of my day is turning the TV on to TLC, climbing into bed, and cuddling up with a good gossip mag.

When my magazines are late, it completely throws me off. Countless times, my friends have had to convince me that, no, post office employees are NOT stealing my magazines and they should arrive shortly.

Farrah Fawcett Hospitalized

Farrah Fawcett is, no doubt, one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood history. Who hasn't seen the infamous poster plastered on teen boys walls back in the day?

On Thursday, Farrah was hospitalized in Los Angeles for anal cancer. Watching such a beautiful person go through something so tragic is hard to see. I know many are affected by cancer, and it's never easy to hear about peoples struggle with the illness.

Apparently, Farrah was hospitalized for a blood clot she developed after a recent procedure in Germany.

For now, Farrah released a statement saying thank you to all of her fans, and for those loyal followers to keep hope.

For the past 2 1/2 years, cancer is what Farrah has been in the tabloids for. She has battled her cancer with beauty and grace and we wish her all the best!

The Bachelor Throws A Curveball!!

I have been home sick for the past couple of days, which gave me ample time to catch up with, what some may call, "junk" tv. I watch anything from Everyday Italian on Food Network to CSI on CBS. I mean it- EVERYTHING. So as you can imagine, my sick days were incredibly busy. :)

To my surprise, my cold coincided with the season finale of the Bachelor. Yay! I get to cuddle up in bed with my cough drops and gossip magazines and indulge in 2 hours of broken hearts and engagement rings. Boy, was I wrong.

For those of you who missed this historic event, let me fill you in.

Jason, the Bachelor, had Melissa and Molly to choose from during the final rose ceremony. Easy cheesy right? Just you wait.

Jason chooses Melissa, proposes, and they skip off on their merry way. BUT! Once they have the "After the Final Rose Ceremony" show, Jason throws a curveball, breaks up with Melissa, and asks for Molly to have him back. WHAT?! My immune system was NOT strong enough for this. After a few frantic phone calls to my best friend, Mary, we talked it out and realized that you absolutely have to sell your soul to be on that show.

Melissa left heartbroken, and Jason and Molly are living happily ever after. Suddenly, TV life became far more complicated than normal life! Thank goodness...

Obama Family Mania!

I don't know about yall, but if I were the Obama family, I would be getting a little sick of the paparazzi following me around all the time! For what seems like all eternity, web sites have plastered pictures of the Obama girls... For instance, 10-year-old Malia "playing photographer" on her mothers birthday... so? What child isn't dying to use their parents electronics?!

Not only that, but the article continued on with every intimate detail about Michelle's birthday- from a spur of the moment dance party with her daughters, to the cake she ate on board an Amtrak train.

Now, the Obama's are facing a new threat to their girls privacy. A doll company has produced Obama girls dolls. I too would be furious if my family was being exploited in such a way.

While I know it would be an incredible experience to grow up in the White House, I would never trade my upbringing for the world. My most precious childhood memories are moments I shared with my parents, my siblings, and my family and friends. And they were private.

I hope for both of the girls they too will be able to share some of those memories with their parents, without us looking over their shoulders.

I think that one of the greatest web sites for celebrity news is People Magazine.

Go to http://www.people.com/... It will keep you updated by the minute as celebrity news comes crawling through cyberspace...

I'm constantly cruising around different sites, and I like People best for one reason: The link called "This Week In PEOPLE History." It gives you a cover from the same week from years past. The one I looked at today was particularly interesting...

It was from 1989 and had 13-year-old Drew Barrymore on the cover when she entered rehab. That's right folks... REHAB! She was barely a teenager and had already dabbled in pot, alcohol, and cocaine.

This seems to be an all too normal situation in Hollywood. These child stars are treated like adults, paid like adults, and expected to act like adults- so why is anyone suprised when they party like one?!

I don't know about you, but I have 4 brothers and sisters under the age of 13... I know that if any of them were experimenting in this way, I would go into cardiac arrest.

So what do you think? Is this a result of the childs environment? Or are parents, guardians, and bosses to blame?

Child Star Break-Up Over Celebrity Status!

Does anyone remember Amanda Bynes? I LOVED her when I was younger! And, I will shamelessly say that I've loved her recent movies like "She's the Man"...

Well, over the weekend, she apparently broke things off with her Hills lover, Doug Reinhardt... For those of you who don't watch the Hills, Doug is one of Lauren Conrad's former love interest who used her for her celeb status.

And he's done it again!

Amanda broke things off because she thought he was using her for her celebrity status... well DUH! Come on, anyone who will date around within a certain celebrity social group is obviously after one thing- celebrity status of their own!

I cannot imagine how tough it would be to have to date and worry about those kinds of things! Anyways, good luck Amanda on the break-up! Sounds to me like it was done for the right reason...

Bradgelina... when will it ever end?!

When is the Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston fued going to be forgotten? I for one, am sick of opening a magazine and seeing nothing by made-up fights and fueds splattered upon pages on which I would rather see where to get the hottest Spring fashions for less.

Yesterday, January 7th, was the 4-year-anniversary of the day Brad and Jen announced their split. What a coincidence that he would come to her defense about comments she made about his new love, Angelina Jolie!

After Jen called Jolie's comments about 'not being able to wait to get to the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith' (where she and Brad fell in love) "uncool," taboo tabloid spats starting splashing across magazine covers.

You could not even buy a pack of gum without being inundated with stories about their crazy love triangle.

Anywho, Brad called Jen a "sweetheart" and defended her to the reporter giving the interview.

Who knows, maybe he is just trying to outshine her on the moral compass, or he could really be a knight in shining armor...

Hi Everyone!

Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my blog... I have to be honest and tell you that I am OBSESSED with entertainment news! In our newsroom, people often laugh at the knowledge I have retained from People Magazine and US Weekly. I am so thrilled to be writing a blog that could possibly generate conversations about celebrity craziness and maybe even pass along some information you haven't heard!

First off, let's get to know each other. I grew up in Houston and developed my love for what some would call "useless" information and tabloids from my mom and step-mom. We circulate magazines like crazy and then discuss the current events of the entertainment world.
Unfortunately, my two-year-old sister has yet to catch on, and uses magazines as things she can tear apart and crumple in her little hands :) Of course, my brothers have NO interest in tabloid trivia, and shush me if I even mention a morsel of information.

My friends on the other hand, love all sorts of trivia. My college roommate, Mary, laughs at how much I do know about celebrities... But she enjoys it all the same! Both of our houses are filled with magazines... There is not a table top that has less than three of them!
So, now it's our turn to fill this blog with as much information as you would like to talk about! If you ever have any topics you would like to discuss or are interested in, let me know! I would love to talk to you all about things you are interested in.
